1. General Booking & Payments

Welcome to Alleppey Booking (alleppeybooking.com). By accessing our website and booking our services, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions.

• Prepaid Bookings: All bookings require an advance payment to confirm the reservation. For certain services like Shared Boathouses, payments are 100% prepaid. Any remaining balances must be paid in full at the time of check-in before boarding.
• Identification: All adult guests must present a valid Government-issued ID (Passport, Aadhar Card, Driving License, or Voter ID) at the time of check-in.
• Partnership Model: Alleppey Booking partners with elite boat owners and operators. While we guarantee the standard and quality of your booking, the physical operation of the boats is managed by our vetted local partners.

2. Houseboat Timings & Cruising Rules

To comply with local authorities and ensure a smooth experience for all guests, strict timings are enforced for all Houseboat stays (Private and Shared):

• Check-in Time: 12:00 PM (11:30 AM - 1:00 PM for Shared Boathouses). Management is not responsible for delayed boarding due to late arrivals.
• Check-out Time: Strictly 9:00 AM.
• Government Night Halt Rule: As per Kerala Government regulations, no backwater cruising is permitted after 5:30 PM. The boat will be safely docked near a village for the night.
• Air Conditioning: In Deluxe Houseboats, AC in the bedrooms operates exclusively from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Daytime AC usage requires a supplementary charge of ₹2000/- per room.

3. Activity-Specific Policies

Specialized activities have their own operational guidelines to ensure safety and quality:

• Speedboat Rides: Minimum charges apply. For standard 10-minute rides (₹300 per person), a minimum of 3 guests is required. Otherwise, a base minimum charge of ₹900 applies for the boat.
• Kayaking Routes: Kayaking sessions are carefully routed to open water and lake edges to ensure the utmost safety of our guests and to adhere to strict time constraints.

4. Child Policy & Extra Guests

• Children below 5 years of age are complimentary when sharing a bed with parents.
• Children above 5 years of age are considered extra persons and will be charged at standard rates.
• Any extra food requirements or changes in the set menu must be communicated to our team at least 1 day prior to check-in.

5. Cancellation & Refund Policy

• Cancellations made 15 days or more prior to the check-in date will receive a full refund (minus standard processing fees).
• Cancellations made within 7 to 14 days of check-in will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
• Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to check-in, or "no-shows" on the date of booking, are strictly non-refundable.

6. Safety & Liability

Safety is our uncompromising priority across all our partnered services.

• Life Jackets: Wearing provided life jackets is mandatory for activities like Speedboats, Kayaking, and Shikara rides.
• Captain's Authority: The Boat Captain reserves the right to alter the route or cancel cruising in the event of severe weather, technical issues, or safety concerns. Guests must follow the instructions of the crew at all times.
• Personal Belongings: Guests are entirely responsible for their own personal belongings and valuables. Alleppey Booking and its partners are not liable for any lost, damaged, or stolen items during your trip.
